Nodo

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 9, 2026 · Last updated: October 9, 2026

The short version

1. What data the app collects

Nodo does not collect any personal data. Everything you enter — your check-ins, their names, emoji, schedules and reminder times, and the moments you check in — is stored on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework and synced through your own private iCloud account so it is available on your other devices.

We have no servers, no user accounts, and no way to access your data. Your iCloud data belongs to you and is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

2. Sync and backup

Nodo syncs your check-ins through your own private iCloud account, using Apple’s CloudKit. They are stored in the private database of your personal iCloud, which only you can reach — it is not a Nodo account, and there is no Nodo server involved at any point. We cannot see, read or retrieve any of it.

This is what lets your history survive deleting the app, switching to a new iPhone, or restoring from a backup, and what makes the same check-ins appear on your iPad.

If you are not signed in to iCloud, or you turn iCloud off for Nodo in your iOS settings, the app keeps working exactly the same and everything simply stays on your device.

Your preferences — such as the hour a new day starts and the appearance — are kept on each device, where Nodo’s widgets can read them.

3. Reminders, widgets and Siri

Reminders are scheduled by your iPhone itself as local notifications. Nothing about them is sent anywhere.

Nodo’s widgets, its Control Center control, the Action Button, Siri and Shortcuts all read and change your check-ins on your device through Apple’s own frameworks. When you speak to Siri, your request is handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy; Nodo only receives which check-in to act on.

4. In-app purchases

Nodo offers a one-time purchase that unlocks unlimited check-ins. All transactions are processed securely by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your payment information.

StoreKit records a receipt on your device to verify your purchase. This receipt is processed locally and through Apple’s servers only.

5. Analytics and advertising

We do not use any analytics tools, crash reporters, advertising networks, or tracking frameworks. No data about your usage of the app is ever collected or transmitted anywhere.

6. Third-party services

Nodo does not integrate any third-party SDKs or services that collect user data. The only external services the app communicates with are Apple’s own: the App Store for purchase verification, and iCloud for the sync described above. Both are Apple services operating on your own account, and neither sends us anything.

7. Children’s privacy

Nodo does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Your data is stored on your device and in your own iCloud account, never on servers of ours, so no personal information is transmitted to us.

8. Changes to this policy

If we ever change this privacy policy in a material way, we will update the “last updated” date at the top of this page and — where appropriate — notify users through the App Store release notes.
